Cycles for Success

Cycles for Success helps students who have no other way to get to school reach their goals of graduating.

Pete Martinez, the Youth Outreach Coordinator at the CRPD Teen Center mentioned that he is working with 15 students who live a long way from school and do not have money for the bus, let alone access to a car. They walk miles to and from school each day, which adds to their struggles. Pete asked for donations of new or gently used bikes, bike locks and helmets. We decided to help. Click HERE to donate to Cycles for Success. You can drop off bikes, helmets, locks, tires etc. at the Pete’s office at the Teen Center, 1375 Janss Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362, or you can click the link to donate towards the purchase of these items.

In speaking with a number of counselors at all of our High Schools, we have identified that this is an ongoing issue in our community and it crosses school/neighborhood lines.  Please help with this project! These kids have undergone many hardships in life and are trying their best to reach their goals of graduating.
